AN ANGEL OF RESCUE NEEDS YOUR HELP
Emma at 2 was no longer
wanted by her family.
They planned a
family vacation, camping at a state park in
At the end of the
vacation, they left her behind.
The rangers of the park noticed a big black dog running. Emma
was totally petrified and would flee when called or approached. The
rangers would leave food for her but hunting season was approaching and
she could be shot.
Ranger Sally
contacted All About Them, and with our permission, Ranger Sally got a
sharp shooter to tranquilize her and she was brought to the vet
for immediate surgery to remove the dart lodged in her shoulder.
Ranger Sally helped AAT transport her to NJ. The
couple that sponsored Emma ended up being her foster parents.
Emma was frightened and
did not trust humans when she arrived. She was as skittish as a deer.
In time she began to trust again. She was listed on the web site for
years without one inquiry.
This did not get Emma down; she began working with her foster
mom and AAT's ambassador, Angel May. After Angel May crossed over last
October at 15, Emma was ready to take over the position.
Emma has not only dedicated her life to helping the orphans of
AAT but she has raised money for many of the shelters and rescues in
She has worked with
the orphans of AAT and has helped to evaluate other orphans in private
homes, other rescues and shelters.
Emma also assists in behavior therapy, animal communication and
training.
Emma now is in need of your help. Emma was taken to the
hospital last Tuesday when her neck and jaw swelled and she was showing
a temp of 104. She has been hospitalized, given IV fluids and
antibiotics. She has been scoped and yesterday she had surgery to
remove several saliva glands and a tumor in her neck. This girl who
has dedicated her life to helping others now needs you.
Please help Emma get the medical care she needs to continue her
valuable work. This little Earth Angel is so needed in Rescue, Rehab
and Sanctuary.
